Wedding business is up on cruise ships, demand prompts increase on Hawaii Cruises

There has been a 60% increase from the wedding business on cruise ships  in the past decade according to the 21 maritime members of Cruise Lines International Association. The 'cruise wedding' allows couples to  combine their wedding and honeymoon all in one, and allow friends and family to be with them onboard! Food for thought... Mexico uses discounts to attract travelers

Cruise deals are more scarce as more people expected to sail

Travelers are encouraged to talk to travel agents, as great cruise ship deals are evaporating. The Cruise Lines International Association estimates that 13.44 million passengers sailed last year, up from 13.1 million in 2008. With the surge, bookings are way up. American Airlines drops free standby for most passengers & economy to blame for $8 blanket, pillow fee

Most American Airlines' passengers will no longer be able to stand by for a different flight on their day of travel without paying a fee. All passengers will be able to pay a $50 fee for guaranteed same-day flight change if space is available. However, the free-standby option will still be in effect for higher level members of the frequent flier program, business and first class passengers and military fares. Stay tuned for more info! Starting May 1, American Airlines will charge $8 for a pillow & blanket in coach class for domestic trips and some international flights. This decision in made to sustain the long-term success of the company.

Passport application fees to INCREASE!

The State Department plans to increase the passport-application fee from $100 to $135 and introduce an $82 fee to add visa pages to books. This change could take effect within WEEKS, so get your passports in order as soon as possible!!
